MELB Snr Account Manager + Media Sales (Beverage) $90k-$95k+

This cutting-edge media agency keeps growing from strength to strength. Based in Melbourne’s inner-city fringe, the sales media division now requires an enthusiastic, experienced and passionate leader to drive their commercial (beverage, tourism  & lifestyle) division. You have proven (media) sales experience to take the reins of a hugely successful (warm desk) national beverage & lifestyle portfolio!

Working closely with the editorial and content team, your role is to drive digital sales for your core brand’s audience, membership and revenue growth. This Senior Account Manager opportunity will suit a Talent with proven sales experience (media or publisher agency desired) in building and nurturing client relationships, has a strong ability to drive sales, and can lead by example.

The Opportunity:

  • Support the Director and work with internal directors across various divisions (digital, design, PR) within the organisation
  • Develop, identify and execute new commercial ventures with the Director
  • Work closely with the marketing & editorial teams to generate advertising revenue
  • Negotiate and close advertising and partnership deals, ensuring maximum revenue generation
  • Selling advertising solutions for premium beverage and lifestyle products across all platforms (print & digital)- nationally 
  • Maintain and develop close stakeholder relationships on a national level 
  • Develop a strong understanding of your client’s marketing strategy
  • Generation of strategic cross-platform marketing solutions
  • Prepare bespoke media kits and advertising proposals for external stakeholders
  • Contribute to creative commercial ideas across media platforms
  • Regularly present new business ideas and opportunities
  • Organic and new business development (30%)
  • Keep abreast of the advertising marketplace: new products, rebranding, advertising campaigns

You:

  • Live in Melbourne, Australia 
  • Love the beverage and tourism industry
  • Have experience in media or publisher sales
  • Are experienced at selling across (all) platforms, with knowledge of digital media 
  • Describe yourself as creative, with experience and success in creative sales solutions, including content opportunities
  • You’re a great communicator, with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • You are energetic and highly motivated to succeed
  • A team player who collaborates to achieve targets
  • Able to prove success in achieving targets, ideally on high-frequency titles
