We’re looking to speak with a hybrid talent who excels in public relations, pitching, and media relations to support and maintain a strong brand presence for a Melbourne-based integrated agency. You describe yourself as a storyteller with a natural flair for building relationships and can hit the ground running with your local network of contacts!
Ideally, you have an interest in the property client sector and have previously worked across either commercial or residential property accounts.
Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering strong client relationships and collaborating with our creative, media, and account management teams to deliver exceptional results. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our clients’ strategic direction, leading strategy sessions, and driving new business opportunities to fuel the growth of the PR and Communications department.
Supporting the two Founders, this PR role will have a keen eye for detail and a proven ability to plan and execute communication strategies for both; internal and external stakeholders.
The Opportunity:
- Plan and produce a raft of PR & content across traditional and digital channels both internally and externally, to influence the perception of our client
- Collaborate with internal PR experts and build strong relationships with media
- Work to enhance and protect the reputation of clients within the property, lifestyle and building industry
- Effectively manage reactive enquiries and issues, as well as proactively identify newsworthy angles and build successful media pitches and packages
- Grow relationships with media outlets relevant to the strategic goals of the organisation
- Identify and produce newsworthy stories that will influence our clients’ owned audiences (website, social media etc.).
- Playing a quality-control / editor role for content in internal channels
- Work with the internal digital team on change communications and issues management projects across the business
You:
- Minimum 8+ years’ experience in public relations
- Relevant PR-related qualifications or similar
- Excellent media network
- Experience in developing PR strategies, content and campaigns
- Copywriting and press release writing skills
- Knowledge and ability to manage Google Business Profile and Google Ads
- Team player with a creative mindset and inquisitive nature
- Able to manage multiple projects and campaigns in a fast-paced environment
- Present professionally both in person and in written form
- Full of energy and enthusiasm, with a strong determination to succeed.
