We are thrilled to be working with a national media agency that is looking to appoint an experienced MELB Media Investment Director (Agency) strategy talent to their MELB-based office. The successful Investment Director will be responsible for managing investment strategies across all platforms (outdoor, radio, TV, digital), delivering KPI’s, working directly with clients and exceeding goals!
You will lead the creation of market leading ideas for our clients and will manage the executional interface with media owner partners. If you have 8-10 years experience working in a media planning or strategy-focused role, we would love to hear from you.
The Opportunity:
- Support and work closely with the General Manager
- Work with internal teams (Planners) to develop strategies and investment products for national clients
- Developing and nurture media partner and client relationships
- Develop media pricing
- Market competitiveness and informal intelligence
- Deliver client reports and ensure all data is delivered accurately and on time
- Provide thought leadership
- Monitor and improve buying performance within the agency
- Drive new business growth
You:
- Live in Melbourne
- Have 8-10 years media (agency or publisher side) experience
- Demonstrated experience within buying across all channels including digital, TV and OOH
- Foresight to proactively seek out strategic trading opportunities that align with your client’s strategic direction
- Ability to consistently provide market landscape understanding to be known as an expert
- Experience managing and developing best in market processes and systems across the Investment team
- Showcase strong POV and insights on relevant media and performance, direct to client within presentations or via regular communication
- Know how to lead conversations to bridging the gap between digital and traditional media investment
- In depth knowledge and understanding of client’s business including KPIs and accountability measures
- Experienced in all aspects of team leadership within a media trading environment
- Strong knowledge of programmatic and social with in-platform experience strongly preferred
- Are someone with high levels of attention to detail and organisation
- Strong competency in leading client relationship and conveying digital media strategies and recommendations
- Experience in digital planning to deliver to Brand outcomes strongly preferred
- Must be able to work collaboratively with others to deliver a comprehensive recommendation
