MELB Digital Marketing Analyst (Travel) $90k

We are truly excited to be working with a global digital agency seeking a marketing expert, with data, research and reporting skills to manage a global travel client account.

The successful Marketing Analyst will be responsible for taking ownership of this client’s digital campaigns from start to finish & working in close collaboration with internal teams, including Media, Creative, and Data specialists, to deliver integrated strategies and actionable insights that align with Intrepid’s sustainability-focused travel goals.

This client-facing position requires you to manage key relationships while ensuring high-quality delivery and performance across all channels.

Leadership and a high level of motivation will be required. You understand the industry and the tools back to front to support and guide junior team members that may be working remotely. You will be pulling your clients’ campaign objectives and strategising appropriate channels to market while working alongside various in-house team members to produce the campaigns and bring them to life!

The Opportunity:

  • Develop integrated strategies and actionable insights that align with Intrepid’s sustainability-focused travel goals
  • Work in close collaboration with internal teams, including Media, Creative, and Data specialists, to deliver integrated strategies and actionable insights that align with our clients’ sustainability-focused travel goals
  • This is a client-facing position, requiring you to manage key relationships while ensuring high-quality delivery and performance across all channels
  • Carry out competitor research, specifically within the adventure and sustainable travel industry, to identify trends and benchmark performance against competitors
  • Develop and implement forecasting models to enhance campaign planning and business growth for our client
  • Continuously assess data to improve the accuracy of client forecasts and performance predictions
  • Maintain clear and concise dashboards, reports, and presentations that communicate findings to internal teams and the client, ensuring strategic alignment with our client’s goals.
  • Ensure data integrity and reporting accuracy, promptly addressing any discrepancies
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for our client, managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on client objectives
  • Proactively communicate campaign performance and adjust strategies based on evolving business needs
  • Work with the team to develop data-driven products that provide value to both travel and other travel-focused clients
  • Identify opportunities for automation and the use of AI to drive efficiencies.

You:

  • Live in Melbourne and have full working rights
  • Minimum 4 years of experience (preferably agency experience) in a digital channel specialty, client management, data analysis, or marketing research
  • An interest in or previous experience working in the travel industry
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing and the analysis of specific channels in relation to the client’s commercial goals
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing tools that support analysis (e.g. competitor monitoring tools, GA4) and most importantly the metrics associated with them (and how to be successful)
  • Bonus for strong knowledge of key ad platforms including SA360, Campaign Manager, Meta Business Manager etc.
