We are thrilled to be working with a much-loved Melbourne-based organisation to fill a contract Media & PR Manager role across food, drink and events.
The successful Media & PR Manager will play a key role in shaping how this organisation tells its story, and manages its reputation. This hands-on job is ideal for someone who enjoys crafting compelling narratives and influencing how audiences, media and stakeholders engage.
You are currently working as an Account Manager or Senior Account Manager in an agency environment and have 4-6 years’ public relations experience.
The Opportunity:
- Support the Public Relations Director
- Delivering PR strategies that build awareness
- Event support
- Content developing and storytelling
- Shape the organisation’s narrative, key messages and tone of voice
- Build relationships with (broadcast) journalists and media outlets
- Produce high-quality written content
- Advise leadership on messaging, reputation and communications
- Support integrated campaigns in partnership with marketing
- Take the lead on media engagement, content creation, and executive communications
You:
- Live in Melbourne and can start immediately
- Are a confident and adaptable communicator with strong writing, editing and media engagement skills
- Understand how to shape messages that resonate
- Can point to examples where your communications have strengthened reputation, influenced outcomes, or deepened engagement
- Experience in food, drink or travel/tourism is ideal
- Composed under pressure, curious about audiences, and motivated by crafting clear, authentic and impactful communication
