MELB Marketing Strategist (Shopper / BTL)

We’re searching for an exceptional Shopper Marketing Strategist to join one of Melbourne’s favourite full-service agencies!

Based in Melbourne, this role sits within a mix of brand and shopper strategy – a space where long-term brand building meets the immediate motivations of the shopper journey. If you thrive on merging strategic thinking with actionable insights and have expertise (ideal!) in experiential, field, activations ​or shopper​ marketing, WE WANT YOU!

THE OPPORTUNITY

  • Shape insight-led strategies that address both brand equity and shopper engagement, aligning brand storytelling with the practicalities of purchase behaviour
  • Work as a strategic lead, working directly with the client service teams and supporting the MD
  • Drive multi-channel solutions that resonate across the brand activation spectrum
  • Use a blend of data-driven analysis and cultural intelligence to create strategies that inspire creative teams and deliver measurable results for consumer/retail clients
  • Foster a culture of innovation within the team, sharing best practices and inspiring others to think dynamically about brand and shopper intersections.

YOU

  • Currently work in an agency side role within the retail, FMCG or beverage client sectors Describe yourself as a hybrid thinker and have the ability to bridge brand vision with the immediacy of shopper needs, crafting strategies that spark both emotional connection and action
  • Understand the importance of building stakeholder relationships
  • Have confidence in presenting ideas, concepts and insights
  • Are results driven!
  • Live in Melbourne and ideally, have full working rights
  • Describe yourself as a marketing enthusiast who has an interest in shopper, activations or experiential marketing
  • At least 4-6+ years (recent) experience within a marketing or events agency environment
  • Working knowledge of marketing disciplines
  • Describe yourself as a strategic thinker
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills and prompt responses to changing situations
