A global brand that specialises in tools, accessories, garden, and home is now looking to expand its Product division. This role will suit a Talent who’s currently working in a Product role and has aspirations to broaden their brand expertise.
With a high-performing team environment, this sought-after role is perfect for a marketing Talent looking to step into a role with a multi-million-dollar product portfolio (100+ products).
The Opportunity:
- Support and work closely with the Director of Product & ELT
- Own and lead the strategic direction and performance of a large, high-growth product portfolio
- Drive long-term category vision and growth strategies aligned to market opportunities
- Manage the full product lifecycle, delivering sustained year-on-year growth and newness
- Identify and develop on-trend, innovative, and consumer-led décor products and ranges
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with internal Design, Sourcing, Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams
- Partner with local and offshore suppliers to deliver high-quality products, on time and on cost
- Own category and portfolio budgets, ensuring commercial targets and margins are achieved
- Identify, assess, and manage key vendors and suppliers
- Analyse market, consumer, and performance data to inform strategic decision-making
- Clearly communicate product roadmaps, priorities, and lifecycle plans to senior stakeholders
You:
- Live in Melbourne and have full working rights
- Love Product Marketing and have at least 4+ years’ experience in a Product Management or Product Development role
- Are an agile thinker who can operate at pace and is constantly chasing newness
- Are comfortable operating in a demanding and fast-paced environment with a high rate of new product development and a requirement to manage projects concurrently
- Are a strong and influential communicator, both with internal stakeholders and in front of customers when pitching new ranges
- Have proven experience managing large, multi-million-dollar product portfolios
- Have strong leadership capability and the ability to influence across functions
- Have a strong understanding of the product development lifecycle, from concept through to post-launch
- Have strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, margins, and forecasts
- Have demonstrated experience negotiating with vendors and managing overseas supplier relationships
- Have strong analytical skills with the ability to translate insights into strategic action
- Have demonstrated experience working in a B2C or B2B Marketing position
- Have experience marketing wholesale brands that are distributed through a retail environment, which is advantageous
- Have product knowledge in retail, garden, homeware, landscaping, or hardware, which is ideal
- Have experience with Marketing Analytics and consumer insights
- Have exceptional commercial acumen and awareness
- Have the ability to travel interstate or overseas when required
