Stress & Depression in the Workplace: Let’s Talk About It
One in five Australians have taken time off work in the past 12 months because they felt stressed, anxious, depressed or mentally unhealthy, and this statistic is doubled amongst those who consider their workplace mentally unhealthy. (State of Workplace Mental Health in Australia).
‘Stress and Depression in the Workplace: Let’s Talk About It’ will be a night where speakers Angie Greene (Stand Up Events), Melissa Griffiths (Transgender Equality and Inclusion Advocate), Suzanne Tonks (Oliver & York) and James Ferne (Men’s Collective) will share their stories and experiences with dealing with themselves and helping others manage stress and depression in the workplace.

We’ll be discussing:
– How to change attitudes towards stress and depression in the workplace
– Striking it right with work/life balance
– Influencing work policy in order to reduce stress and depression in the workplace
– Finding support on how to manage mental health in the workplace
– If there are barriers in bringing up personal issues at work
– Finding the right space to speak about your issues
– Warning signs that people are displaying mental health issues and how to manage employees who are stressed/burnt out and/or depressed
This #LeadingLadies event is to share experiences and advice on how to better manage stress and depression in the workplace, we are not here to fix you but to facilitate a discussion on how to better support each other in the modern workplace and empower each other to bring the best version of themselves each and every day.
Hosted at OneRoof Melbourne, this will be a non judgemental space welcome to all, with a Q+A at the end of the session.
