Working within one of Australia’s most successful media companies, this Contract Jnr Media Planner role assists and reports directly to the Snr Planner & Head of Planning.

You will be responsible for assisting in the planning and analysis of media recommendations, booking and implementing media campaigns and tracking the performance of all media campaigns.

The Opportunity: 

  • The Contract Jnr Media Planner will be responsible for planning, negotiating and executing digital media plans
  • The ideal Contract Jnr Planner must be able to manage day-to-day planning and analysis while maintaining strong relationships with publishers and partner agencies
  • Assist in digital media strategy development for top tier clients
  • Develop and manage digital media plans; negotiate and purchase media
  • Manage the day-to-day implementation, and optimisation of campaign activities
  • Manage campaign authorisations, budgets, and reconciliation processes
  • Interact and maintain rapport with digital media publishers
  • Analyse research data and media/marketing information then share the information with clients
  • Monitor and assess ongoing campaign performance; assist in strategic analysis of campaigns
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

You:

  • Currently live in Melbourne, Australia
  • Have 2-3 years of experience in a digital media planning role (agency experience preferred)
  • Experience with campaign management and ad serving technology: DoubleClick, Innovid, Google Analytics is ideal
  • Preferred working knowledge of third party internet marketing research: comScore Media Metrix, Nielsen NetView, @Plan, NetRatings, and others is ideal
  • Broad understanding of the programmatic landscape
  • Required PC proficiency and solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Experience analysing data and market research
  • Familiarity with basic accounting/math principles; basic statistical analysis experience is a plus

  • Must be a self-starter, with strong planning and organisational skills and the ability to work with minimal direction
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication as well as negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with colleagues and vendors
  • Experience managing competing priorities, duties and/or projects
  • Proven ability to accommodate evolving responsibilities and last-minute changes!
